В случае powerpc это бессмысленно -- насколько я знаю, у x86 от этого
увеличивается количество доступных регистров и так далее. На powerpc
не меняется ничего, кроме некоторого увеличения размера объектного
кода и некоторого замедления его. Разумеется, 64-bit ядро и 64-bit
тулчейн надо дать тем, кому это надо, но пересобирать весь userland
бессмысленно.
Ну и плюс, понятно, места это будет на миррорах занимать в два раза
больше без особого benefit'а.
