Если этот файл (ekpd.slackware) не нужен - удалите его. Если он нужен,
что следует из фразы "вызывается по условию" - то пропатчите. Если это
условие никогда не будет выполнено, то скорее всего можно просто
безболезненно удалить этот ekpd.slackware. Иначе нужно либо патчить
ekpd.slackware, чтобы не лез, туда, чего нет или того, что его вызывает,
чтобы не думал, что у нас слакваря.
Вот это и есть работа мэйнтейнера - отрывать ненужное и дописывать нужное.
