IMHO, это обернётся багхантингом проблем совместимости libmysqlclient
новой версии и mysql-server старой.
В отыскании одной из таких ошибок я поучаствовал как репортер
собственным лбом (если интересно - дам сцылку на коммит BitKeeper'а),
после чего сделал бэкпорт jabberd2 на ALM 2.4.
