Повесил тут пару FR на добавление rsyncable патчей в gzip (#8184,
удивился, что его до сих пор у нас нет) и zlib (#8185)...
Дело в том, что давно крутилась мыслишка в голове о том, как бы сделать
rpm-пакеты более rsync-friendly. Истоки этой мысли были в знании об
rsyncable gzip, но не хватало знания о том, как cpio компрессируется
внутри rpm.... И вот совершенно случайно :) узнал, что там просто лежит
cpio.gz. Вернее, rpm может использовать несколько вариантов компрессии,
но по умолчанию как раз используется zlib (если я здесь не прав, то
поправьте меня).
Ну а при таких делах вполне себе можно добавить поддержку rsyncable
output в zlib, и наслаждаться этим же в rpm... Тогда будут иметь больше
смысла изыскания, описанные на

возможно... есть ли у кого-нить время и желание, чтобы это проверить?
