You cannot dismiss arguments so freely. The abovementioned command "apt-shell < /dev/null" from apt-0.5.15lorg2-alt33 works 10x times slower after update from librpm-4.0.4-alt98.45 to librpm-4.0.4-alt98.49. No matter how unreasonable apt is, it was rpm update that slowed it down. --=20 ldv --YiEDa0DAkWCtVeE4 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.10 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkz6cdwACgkQfKvmrJ41Nh4cegCfW5lm9q+7IWE5nZ8E3e4XMA+L mwoAn0nefJ0L86+Y7HdGVpVJTQgyxdUB =/q97 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --YiEDa0DAkWCtVeE4--
