На перле тоже относительно просто сделать что угодно.
$ xml_grep --nowrap 'color[@name="white"]' /usr/lib/ImageMagick-6.3.4/config/colors.xml
<color color="rgb(255,255,255)" compliance="SVG, X11" name="white"/>
$
