А смысл в таких тегах? Я, например, положил vim для M24 в бранч
"master-2.4", а там у меня уже теги вида "v%version-%release".
Чем плох такой подход?
P.S. А можно бранч "master" переименовать в "sisyphus"? Т.е.
чтобы "master" не было вообще?
