Честно говоря, я уже и сам наверное не смогу сейчас сформулировать
отчетливо, почему в первоначальных замыслах было оставить emacs21 в
сизифе. Возможно, сказался дурной пример Debian.
Итого: Хотя вопрос и не вызвал широкого резонанса, полученные отклики
утвердили меня в том, что в сизифе достаточно одной версии GNU Emacs.
Видимо, вопрос закрыт (по крайней мере, до того времени, пока мои
шаловливые ручки не добрались до emacs-unicode (23)).
