Unfortunately, I must reject it. One reason is that the patch will ignore errors such as insufficient permission or I/O error. The other, iff mkdir (mis)behaves like this, it is a mkdir(1) bug (failing compliance with SUSv3 = IEEE 1003.1-2001, 2004 edition) that should be filed against the coreutils package. SUSv3 clearly dictates that "mkdir -p" must ignore pre-existing directory names without error. coreutils 5.92 exhibits a regression here. However, to cater for these stupid tools, I will change the Makefile so it does not trip into this coreutils bug. It's a minor change. 1.11.4 will contain the fix. Thanks again. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=485351&aid=1336030&group_id=57767 ----- End forwarded message ----- -- ---- WBR, Michael Shigorin ------ Linux.Kiev http://www.linux.kiev.ua/
