Не уверен -- firmware как раз архитектурно-зависимый код (хоть и
не строго в том плане, о котором речь в FHS :-). Так что дело
вкуса, но на этом ровном месте я бы с тем /usr/lib/hotplug,
который на каждом углу инета фигурирует, лишней разницы бы не
устраивал.
В общем, до выяснения обстоятельств (и плюс поправить надо)
собираю alsa-firmware с --disable-hotplug -- старые файлы на
месте.
