Имеем quakeforge.spec (attached). Не собирается потому как не
находит некоторых функций (вываливается при линковке hw/master).
Некоторые библиотеки (например libs/net) собираются только
статически и статически же линкуются к бинарникам. В общем трюк
с export lt_cv_что_то_там и %{subst_enable static} не проходит.
Кто виноват и что делать?

Лучше бы лог от сборки кинул.
Вообще-то, если библиотека собирается только статически, она нормально
должна подцепляться, если к ней есть -L.
А если всё-равно не хотит, то всегда есть bruteforce. Можно использовать
не -lлиба, а ../../путь/путь/либа. И тогда вообще пофиг статическая она
или нет.

В общем отрепортил я всё это на OFTC/#quakeforge, taniwha сказал,
что кажется нашёл в чём бага. Есть мнение, что в ближайшее время
на cvs будет исправление.

JFI: В cvs исправлено... Проблема была в следующем:
Библиотеки, которые не устанавливаются (noinst_LTLIBRARIES),
всегда собираются статически. Если libtool'у передаётся флаг
-static и сборка статических библиотек запрещена
(--disable-static), такие библиотеки получаются пустыми (что мы и
наблюдали). В cvs испралено следующим образом:
