Это замечательно, но пакетов с куда большими грехами и меньшей
актуальностью там все равно останется навалом.

Причем странные: 1280x1024, т.е. не 4:3. Я бы сказал, что это
худший bug, поскольку смотрятся они кисло (не могу подобрать
другого слова -- как-то растянуто и с черной полосой по верху) на
1152x864 или 1400x1050, а используются, получается, везде.
