Hello!

Кто-нибудь может пояснить ситуацию с лицензией gated?

 Royalty-free licenses to redistribute GateD Release
 3 in whole or in part may be obtained by writing to:

         Merit GateDaemon Project
         4251 Plymouth Road, Suite C
         Ann Arbor, MI 48105

Т.е. получается, что просто так распространять его нельзя? И такое
лежит у нас в Сизифе, да еще с надписью License: distributable в spec?

Кстати, www.gated.org переадресовывает на www.nexthop.org, а там:

Там не одна лицензия.
Впрочем, адресуем этот вопрос мейнтейнеру.

С незапамятных времен. Что же, раз NextHop так относится к своим
пользователям, то думаю, что GateD можно вполне вынести из дистрибутива.
У меня сейчас нет возможности переписываться с NextHop по поводу
неподдерживаемой версии, однако два года назад я такое право
распространять получил, правдо письменных подтверждений уже не осталось.
Еще они предлагали бинарник коммерческой версии (при всей чувствительности
сборки к glibc и kernel) по цене $1000, но это их собственное решение...
