А что вы думаете о местонахождении файлов, подлежащих автостарту?

~/Desktop - чисто KDE-шный каталог
В KDE-шном Autostart могут лежать неисполняемые файлы *.desktop
Не будет ли проблем у других менеджеров?

Главное, чтобы это не был насильно создаваемый каталог без начальной
точки в имени в ~ (И так много мусора).

Думаю, излишество. Есть ~/.Xclients & ~/.xinitrc - этого более
чем достаточно.

Не SysV => плохо автоматизируется.  С другой стороны, а
автоматизируется ли что-то в $HOME ?

PS: по сути вопроса -- я в любом случае против ~/Desktop и
скорее за что-то вроде ~/.autostart.d/ .
