Здравствуйте!

Вот возник вопрос: xmbdfed может использовать файл
UnicodeData.txt (берется с unicode.org) для назначения имен.
Можно ли этот файл класть в дистрибутив?

Там написано следующее:

     The Unicode Character Database is provided as is by Unicode, Inc. No
     claims are made as to fitness for any particular purpose. No warranties
     of any kind are expressed or implied. The recipient agrees to determine
     applicability of information provided. If this file has been purchased
     on magnetic or optical media from Unicode, Inc., the sole remedy for any
     claim will be exchange of defective media within 90 days of receipt.

     This disclaimer is applicable for all other data files accompanying the
     Unicode Character Database, some of which have been compiled by the
     Unicode Consortium, and some of which have been supplied by other

Вроде бы написано "can be redistributed", но меня смущают слова
"internal distribution"...

И, кстати, если это можно, имеет ли смысл положить и остальные
файлы оттуда (естественно, отдельным пакетом)?  Лишнее
напоминание о Unicode :-)

Читаем отсюда:

Все нормально до тех пор, пока соответствующий файл лицензии сохранен в
пакете.

Да, еще файл

хотя тут совсем сомнительно. Впрочем, в исходниках Qt я встречал
ссылку на него - там просто положили результат его обработки
перловым скриптом; пройдет такой фокус?

Хорошо, тогда выложу, только надо порезать. А то там есть файл
Unihan.txt размером 23M :-(

unicode-data-minimal - только UnicodeData.{txt,html}.
unicode-data-basic - все, кроме Unihan.txt
unicode-data-full - Unihan.txt

Естественно, с соответствующими зависимостями между ними.

Все это в /usr/share/unicode-data/3.1.1/, плюс линк
/usr/share/unicode-data/default через update-alternatives с
приоритетом 30101.

Так нормально?

Может лучше unicode-data-hangul ? Если там будет только Unihan.txt, то
имеет смысл.

Ой! я его все-таки скачал... и...

Так что его не будет.  Тогда будет unicode-data-minimal
(UnicodeData.*) и unicode-data (все остальное), и в нем
README-Hangul.txt с указанием на ftp.unicode.org.
