А можно это собрать с libncursesw-devel? widechar больше отвечает 
современным условиям, когда люди используют Unicode.

Например, помню, python иногда собирался с libncurses-devel вместо 
libncursesw-devel (можно просто одно на другое поменять, других изменений 
не потребовалось), и это приводило к ошибкам работы (с Unicode). С тех пор 
считаю, что по умолчанию надо использовать libncursesw-devel всегда.
