Он не потерялся, он не прошёл тест configure:
No working C++ compiler was found.
Такое может быть из-за проблем с флагами компилятора. Меня смущает
одновременно наличие -m64 -march=i586 в вашем случае.
Нужно смотреть config.log для детальной диагностики.
