Тут бывает два момента: сперва стоит глянуть по архивам,
не было ли такого пакета в старых бранчах (кто-нить знает,
orphaned хоть в каком-то виде есть? -- в gears/ не вижу).
Если альтовского спека не было, я обычно заглядываю в PLD,
далее в Fedora или Mandriva (это обычно уже методом гугля
по %name.spec). Чужие спеки обычно не глядя зачищаются
при помощи rpmcs из etersoft-build-utils, дабы уменьшить
ужасания при первоначальном осмотре :)
Как определитесь с чем -- попробуйте, а там пишите,
что получается.
