Добрый день!
Прошу вернуть CONFIG_MICROCODE_OLD_INTERFACE=y.
Суть проблемы: на машине intel с cpuid 0x000306c3 микрокод не
загружается через early microcode update из cpio прилепленного
спереди initrd.
На первый взгляд микрокод в cpio корректно записан make-initrd
и нужной версии. Судя по логам, ядро его даже не пытается его
загрузить и остаётся версия 0x0027, зашитая в bios. Последнюю
0x0028 можно загрузить вручную через iucode_tool -S -k, но это не
работает без /dev/cpu/microcode, для которого нужна указанная опция
ядра.
Отладить причину игнорирования микрокода пока не удалось, т.к.
в коде раннего разбота cpio нет отладочной печати, а отлаживать
раннюю загрузку ядра отладчиком тяжело.
