Не дёргаться, похоже, не получится - в ядро положили старые версии драйверов, на которые сыплется куча жалоб. Так что, возможно, придётся по-прежнему собирать эти драйверы отдельно (причём в этом случае добавляются проблемы из-за лежащего в ядре старого ieee80211, которым теперь будут пользоваться и другие драйверы). Отпилить ieee80211 от ядра, судя по всему, уже больше не удастся. Придётся создавать kernel-feat-net-ieee80211, содержащий прилагаемые патчи (первый - те изменения, которые вносятся в ядро после make patch_kernel в каталоге ieee80211-1.1.6, второй - вытащенные из git правки драйверов, которые пользуются этим ieee80211; помимо ipw2x00, это теперь hostap, atmel, orinoco, wl3501). Модули ipw2x00 вроде бы пока ещё можно собирать отдельно.
