С этой проблемой как раз всё понятно - оказалось, что написанное в
Makefile "export GCC_VERSION=2.96" не передаётся программам, запускаемым
через $(shell ...), в результате определение поддерживаемых опций gcc
работает неправильно. Ну что ж, будем исправлять по аналогии со сборкой
2.6.x (там вариант с GCC_VERSION не проходил, поскольку Makefile ядра
использует переменную с этим именем для собственных нужд).
