Привет!
В ядре 2.4.22-std-{up|smp}-alt8 модуль sata_promise _АБСОЛЮТНО_
неработоспособен. Дружно выявляем причину неработоспособности.
Симптомы:
В initrd присутствуют как libata, так и sata_promise модули.
libata грузится нормально, sata_promise не грузится с кучей
unresolved symbols. При этом при выполнении команды depmod -a
никаких unresolved, применимых к этим модулям НЕТ (!!!)
При ближайшем рассмотрении ненайденные символы обнаружились в
libata.o. Ошибка сборки или что???
