Можно не убивать роут а просто убрать дефайлт гетевей или в настройках
kppp сказать (точнее поставить галку) что это соединение будет
дефолтовом если руками гетевей убивать, то
/etv/sysconfig/network в это файле и смотри, а так я у себя настраивал
по доке с www.linux.org.ru
