Subject: [Comm] установка ядра и модулей 2.4.26 на Compact 2.3

Здравствуйте!
Ранее я уже ставил подобные обновления ядра из репозитария updates для
Compact 2.3 - ядро и модули устанавливались не затрагивая действующего и
путем выбора в lilo того или иного варианта загрузки можно было
протестировать новый имидж ядра и модули, после чего старый удалялся через
apt-get или Synaptic... Так было до 2.4.22 сборка 29 включительно..
Сейчас я решил подключить репозитарий kernel Сизифа и таким же образом
установить ядро 2.4.26.
Но увы... при попытке установить имидж ядра 2.4.26 высветилось
предкпреждение - не понравился bootloader. Взялся за bootloader - удалить
его не решился - он пытается "увлечь" за собой работающее ядро со всеми
модулями и драйверами видеокарты... Больше пытаться не стал, так как не
знаю, пройдет ли все удачно... Как уберечь систему в случае установки
нового ядра 2.4.26 ? Какие пошаговые действия в данном случае?
