Имею 5 одинаковых машин в школьном классе.
mother: VIA Tech чипсет VIA-VT82C691/693A/694X Appolo Pro /133/133A Sys
Controller
адаптер: GeForce 2 MX200
Что ALM2.2, что Junior2.2 - ставятся без проблем (что с 3D ускорителем,
что без)
НО
Alt-Linux Junior 2.3 ведеокарта не проходит.
В книжке написано , что там 2 драйвера - закрытый (экзешник) - могущий все
и открытый
от опенсорс похуже, но тоже ничего.
Ни тот , ни другой не ставятся .
1. Устанавливаю в режиме эксперта.
2. отменяю автоматич запуск Х-сервера при входе в систему.
3. Потом , при входе root-ом в командной строке вызываю либо XFdrake
[-expert],
либо drakconf и пытаюсь настроиь карточку....
Получаю
"Vidia graphical card was found in your sestem, bat required packages were
not installed. Please refer manual nvidia.txt file on CDROM to resolve
this problem.
Now will be installed opensorce driver.
но ничего не устанвливается не находится и пишет:
(EE) Failed to load module "nvidia" (module does not exist, 0)
(EE) No device detected
ЧТО? забыли поставить что-ли?
весь дистрибутив облазил в поисках nvidia.txt -но нет его!!!
Сравнивал с Junior2.2 (она у меня в соседнем разделе), смотрел
XF86config-4 - сделал одинаковыми - все равно не идет.
Help please.
Не хочется на Fedora Core переходить...
P.S.
Неужели в новых дистрах появились новые грабли где их раньше не было??

На красивой коробке написано, что мол соответствует требованиям школьного
стандарта информатики для профилированных школ, что-то пока не видно....
