Я тоже так думаю - когда нет учета - то свалка, никак иначе...
То есть если я правильно понял - только оперирование с rpm и src-rpm может
упорядочить процесс "учета (установки/удаления) программ?
Другими словами - установив несколько программ из исходников tar.gz, я
поступил неправильно?
Но ведь до сих пор такого рода установка практикуется, по крайней мере
частенько выкладываются в таком виде... Как же раньше до rpm все было?
Повально у всех были свалки?
А за наводку на checkinstall - спасибо.
