В прошлом году я ставил почти с retail, по какой-то инструкции с инета.
Теперь же я просто установил уже развернутый образ 10.6.3, полностью
готовый для моего MSI Wind U100 - один из самых подходящих для установки
SL (не Simply Linux, а Snow Leopard :-)). На все ушло минут 15.
Обновляться до последнего 10.6.8 теоретически можно, но я не стал. По
списку изменений там нет чего-то такого, что подвигло меня обновиться.
Поищите темы форума на рутрекере на эту тему. Причем, ставить именно с
retail вполне реально.
P.S. Все работает замечательно. Удивляет отрисовка эффектов - ни одного
"цепляния", рывка и т.д. Впрочем, чему тут удивляться - первый интерфейс
Аква у Мака работал идеально на старом РРС и 8 мб видеопамяти..
