а если собрать rpm? Скачайте (или возьмите с диска) исходник *.src.rpm,
установите его отимени пользователя (не рута) rpm -i *.src.rpm. В домашнем
каталоге появится каталог RPM. В нем несколько каталогов.. зайдите в
SPECS, откройте спек и просмотрите внимательно.. вам нужно будет
подправить как минимум версию нового архива, скачанного с сайта программы,
и вообще просмотрите, ключи сборки и т.д... далее вам нужно будет положить
новый архив в ~/RPM/SOURCES, чтобы тип и название архива совпадали с тем,
что будет вами подправлен в спеке.. Потом сделайте от пользователя rpm -ba
_подправленный спек_ . Понаблюдайте за началом сборки, если вначале будет
сообщения о нехватке devel-пакетов - доставьте их.. Помните, в этих
сообщениях не всегда именно НАЗВАНИЯ пакетов. В итоге, если все получится
- будет и новый src.rpm и rpm, который потом всегда можно ставить на любой
ALC 3.. Это все же повеселее обычной сборки из тарбола..
