У меня на примерно таком железе работал КДЕ из Мастера 2.2 без всяких
тормозов года три назад.. памяти даже одно время было поменьше - 128 мб,
потом я нарастил до 256..
Но Window Maker и Icewm (тем более, что последний wm в последнее время
значительно продвинулся с тех времен) никто не отменял, и они вполне
способны составить конкуренцию..
