Я же говорю - заявлено. Я его не смотрел. Я сделал
$ pksh mcrypt G '\bdes\b'
+ DES: standard DED with 56 bit key and 64 bit block;
+ 3DES(Triple DES): DES but with multiple (triple) encryption;
так как в старой crypt как помнится использовался один из этих методов
шифрования.
Попробуйте посмотреть ещё раз, внимательнее. Если таки нет - гуглите по
рассылке, решение там есть (повторюсь, ещё в мандраковском списке
рассылки).
