fglrx будет более хуже чем radeon.
У меня нет проблем с этим видео, но я нашёл в /etc/X11/xorg.conf такую
строчку в секции Device:
Option "AccelMethod" "EXA"
Уже не помню, когда и зачем её прописывал.
Попробуйте...
