По всей видимости, управление идет через
текстовые файлы конфигурации KDE.
Некоторые ассоциации типов файлов, например,
с пиктограммами, обнаруживаются в домашней директории:
/home/andrei/.kde/share/applnk/.hidden
/home/andrei/.kde/share/applnk-alt/.hidden
/home/andrei/.kde/share/mimelnk
/home/andrei/.kde/share/services
(файлы *.desktop)
Но как оно привязывает к типам файлов приложения?
Неужели все так сложно?
