Что такое ps aux не понял. Но теперь оно не запускается:
# ps auх | grep mb
ERROR: Unsupported option (BSD syntax)

Запустил так:
# ps au | grep mb
root      8054  0.0  0.0   6192   696 pts/2    S+   21:28   0:00 grep mb
# service smb start
Starting CIFS services:  NetBIOS over TCP/IP server, Samba server 
                     [FAILED]
