Поставьте их из бранча. Скорее всего, даже не придется ничего обновлять
в уже установленных пакетах.

Примерно одинаковые. Дистрибутив делается из бранча в какой-то момент
времени, после этого бранч может измениться, но несильно, не так, как Сизиф.
Если хочется стабильности, то:
1. Ставить пакеты нужно из репозитория дистрибутива.
2. Обновлять пакеты нужно из updates к дистрибутиву.
3. Если пакета нет в дистрибутиве, то брать его из branch или backports.
