Клиента - это кто? обычно этим зовется часть SQL-сервера, преобразующая
запросы по какому-то стандарту (например ODBC) во внутренний формат,
часто зависящий от версии, а то и от билда стервера.
Касательно IB-Expert-like.
Поищите кроме фрэшмита на www.sf.net, www.firebirdsql.org, www.ibase.ru
(там же и форум рускоязычный, спросите у Ded'a... Или лучше не
спрашивайте, если я правильно понял он пользуется либо консолью, либо
IBExpert но отдельной виндовой машине:) )
