Здравствуйте все!
Я хочу, наконец-то, обновиться с древнего АЛК 2.3 до свежего десктопа.
По этому поводу возникли несколько вопросов:
1. У меня нет DVD, покупать его ради одной установки не хочу, одолжить
не у кого. Можно ли поставить с CD? Я видел раньше в рассылке
упоминание installer'а в этом контексте, но не смог найти оного для
десктопа. Есть только для live CD. Проблема решаема?
2. Я крайне редко пишу для себя программульки. Но бывает. Можно ли
добавить к десктопу средства разработчика на С/C++/Java/Perl? Что из
этого есть в дистрибутиве?
3. Очень не хочется терять содержимое своего домашнего каталога.
Особенно настройки KMail. Как себя поведет система при такой резкой
смене версий? Бэкап, разумеется, есть :-)
4. У меня есть пара программ, полученных в виде бинарных файлов и
жизненно для меня важных. Будут ли они по-прежнему работать в новой
системе?
5. Имеет ли смысл ждать появления линейки 4.1?
