Насколько я понимаю, <<Безопасно извлечь>> дёргает два действия sync&&eject
После первого уже можно отсоединять ФС, ну а второе как-то не очень
работает в случае бóльшей части USB-устройств, о чём вам и сообщается
:)))
В принципе, если использовали только на чтение флэшку, её можно просто
выдёргивать руками, даже не выбирая пункт <<Безопасно извлечь>>.
