Дешево и проверенно - IOLA-25!
У меня сегменты сети собраны воедино коаксиальным кабелем РК-75-9-12 так:
200 метров, затем хаб IOLA-25, от него еще 260 и 200 метров того же кабеля.
Два года - проблем не было кроме варварства - вырезали кусок кабеля (он
подходит для подключения телеантены) и еще я сам пару раз отрывал
разъемы двигая работающее железо. :-(
Вообще кабель любой 75-омный - чем толще центральна жила, и оплетка тем
на большее расстояние.
Без разделения маршрутизатором или мостом по моему до 2-х км.

Драйвера под Linux и FreeBSD там имеются. Есть представители во многих
городах.
