Мда...
С этим не повезло с Мастером.
попробую alsa из сизифуса, может она зафунциклирует

Нет, как раз сработало, спасибо большое.
до этого судя по top
память сжиралась и начинала подвисать система.
когда установил флаг hdparm -d1 /dev/hda
стала активно работать подкачка и тормозов теперь не наблюдается,
во всяком случае когда копировал файлы с СД на финч.
до этого было страшно смотреть.
Как его автоматом поставить в lilo.conf
append=" ide0=dma"
так ?
