Привет !
Вот возникла странная проблема с DMA.
Имеем:
1. Плата CHAINTECH CT-7VJDA (VIA KT266A).
2. Пара CDROM`ов - Creative и TEAC.
При загрузке включаем DMA для сидюков: hdparm -d 1 -X34 /dev/hdc ...
Некоторое время всё нормально.
Однако, после выгрузки модуля ide-cd и повторной его
загрузке, DMA оказывается выключенным. Отчего - непонятно :(
Никаких сообщений об ошибках не замечено. Глюков в работе
DMA, пока оно включено, вроде нет. Раньше на VIA 5MVP3 такого
небыло. Можно, конечно, ide-cd вбить гвоздями в /etc/modules,
но может есть другой способ ?Ы
