О, и мои $.02: обновление -- действительно такая тяжкая работа,
что на Cel600/i810 сетевое обновление по 10 mbit очень тормозило
уже на этапе отбора пакетов (шурша винтом) и потом грозилось СЕМЬ
часов обновляться? Было ~1.5G. Трафик был _редкий_ и
незначительный. Кстати, было бы классно, если бы тащить пакеты,
пока rpm предыдущую партию ставит -- чтоб более плотно трафик
использовать. А в идеале при этом еще и юзеров создавать (сразу с
blowfish) =)
...Пришлось тормознуть это все дело и по-новой поставил (за пару
часов)...
Вопрос: это насущная необходимость, такой объем вычислений?
Кстати, вопрос тесно связан с прогрессирующим усложнением графа
зависимостей при возрастании числа пакетов...
