А как, собственно, может быть еще?
Если я правильно понимаю, то он при входе в /mnt просматривает устройства и
маунтит /mnt/cdrom. Было бы, возможно, быстрее, если сказать mount
/dev/cdrom, а потом rpm блаблабла. Но это две команды. А, как мне кажется
(небезосновательно) основные тормоза как раз в mount /dev/cdrom - раскрутить
диск до тех же 40х - не такая простая задача. А если он уже mounted, то,
боюсь, тормозов не бывает. Или не замечал.
