То, что вы слышали было сказано, очевидно, от зависти.
3com Thunderlan aka 3CSOHO-100TX устанавливается и работает в Спринге (и в
любом другом линухе наверняка, тоже) на ура. Особенно с помощью harddrake.
Модуль ядра 3c59x.
Кроме того, кажется, 3com -- не того полета птица, чтобы делать win-сетевые
карты. SOHO отличается от самого Thunderlan (по-моему так он называется)
отсутствием места под BootROM, управления и еще каких-то мелочей. Ну, еще
ценой выгодно отличается :)
