А! Кажется я понял, в чем дело: похоже ошибка в пакетах
etcskel-ru-{koi8-r,cp1251}-0.3-ipl4 -- туда забыли включить шаблон по
умолчанию.
Если Вы работаете в ru_RU.KOI8-R, то поставьте etcskel-ru (если его еще
нет), затем cp -R /etc/skel.ru/.lyx ~ (предварительно можно rm -rf
~/.lyx -- для чистоты эксперимента).
Ну а для CP1251 нужно внести небольшие изменения в
~/.lyx/templates/deafults.lyx.
Сообщите, пожалуйста, если не заработает.
