Есть в ОупенОфис прилада, которая устанавливает _для него_ принтер(ы), а
уже для принтера можно добавлять шрифты. То есть ОупенОфис нормально
работает _только_ с теми шрифтами, что установлены для евонного принтера!
(Притом что физически подключенного принтера может и не быть.)
Блин, пока я сообразил, что шрифты нужно добавлять с правами рута, долго
плевался на ОупенОфис. А теперь - благолепие: Arial, Courier, Times New
Roman из ms-ttf мало того, что с кернингом людским, так ишшо и с
антиалиасингом.
Кстати, недавно попробовал в Оффтопике нажать на предварительный просмотр
в Эксель 97 - выхватил от него заявление, что в системе не установлен
принтер и "кина не будет". Пришлось поставить... Драйвер принтера, есс-но.
Так дело дойдет и до совместимости по макровирусам с Оффтопик Офис ;-)
P.S. У меня OpenOffice 638 из ALT Linux Junior 1.1
