Можно :)
Тем паче что у меня /sbin/pidof -- это и есть симлинк на killall :)
Просто если надо разбить задачу на две -- сперва узнать, какой именно
процесс убивать, а потом собственно убивать -- pidof может помочь.
В том случае, если таких процессов несколько -- он вернет список всех.
А дальше в скрипте можно разобраться, какой из них нужен например по
наличию параметров в выводе ps ax. В общем, не надо будет как минимум
парсить вывод ps с помощью perl, awk или cut...
А вот в интерактивном режиме удобно процессы убивать из top'а.
