Юмор то в том, что это не только для HP5000 но и для всех HPxxxxPS У меня не
работают: HP2100,HP4500,HP4550. На HP2100 не пробовал, но думаю будет тоже.
Посмотри, поддерживает твой принтер кроме PS например PCL5-6
Там в настройках CUPS можно указать репроцесить postscript через
ghostscript, и после этого все нормально (LJ1200 во всяком случае) -
несчитая по уродски растрируемых русских шрифтов.

Можно поподробней с этого места? Может-быть это гдето описано?
