У меня сработало с точностью наоборот. Выполнил все по инструкции, но у меня и так стоял проприетарный драйвер, а с nouveau вообще
в графику не хочет, хоть стреляйся. В vesa отрабатывает заветные 1280х1024 с небольшим сдвигом экрана, но с производительностью
в 200 раз ниже. Исходя из этого, думаю, что дело не в мониторе, а в хреновых (для моей карты) драйверах nvidia. Но спасибо: в инструкции вообще были интересные для меня моменты.
