Это я и сам понял. Вопрос в том, почему он "поменял мнение".
Я, правда, обе ОС с неделю назад проапгрейдил до бранч 5.1,
так там, по-моему, в числе прочих и модули nvidio заменялись.
Но тогда непонятно почему еще неделю все было нормально.
Если убирать развертку 1280х1024 и следующую за ней, то
ставиться 1024х768. Кабель к монитору и все, что советовали,
проверю вечером (это домашняя машина).
