Установил драйвер к LJ1020, как советовал Motsyo Gennadi:
#apt-get install sihp1020-20050318-alt0.M40.1.noarch.rpm,
но прописать его в базу для дальнейшей установки не могу.
Установка KDE - "прочие" выдает: неверный формат драйвера
(строка 1): syntax error, unexpected OPTION
А установить в базу foomatic, как пишет Motsyo Gennadi:
foomatic-filters-3.0.2-alt5
----------
printer-drivers-base-3.0-alt2.M40.3
не получается: foomatic-filters: command not found.
Среди команд foomatic-xxx ее нет (см.-addpjloptions,
-combo-xml,-compiledb,-configure,-getpjloptions,
-gswrapper,-kitload,-perl-data,-ppd-options,-ppdfile,
-preferred-driver,-printjob,-rip).
Как же все-таки "приклеить" установленный драйвер и
установить принтер?

Почему "прочие" ? У меня никаких прочих:
